As part of its ongoing efforts to support entrepreneurship and innovation in the Kingdom, the Jordan Design and Development Bureau (JODDB) and Orange Jordan signed a strategic cooperation agreement on the sidelines of the Special Operations Forces Exhibition and Conference (SOFEX 2026), aimed at empowering startups and creating greater opportunities for their development and growth. The agreement brings together JODDB’s technical and engineering capabilities with Orange Digital Center’s (ODC) expertise in supporting the entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem, contributing to the development of solutions that meet market needs and support the growth of Jordan’s digital economy.

The agreement was signed by the Director General of JODDB, Major General (Ret.) Eng. Ayman Ahmad Al-Batran, and the CEO of Orange Jordan, Eng. Philippe Mansour.

The agreement focuses on supporting promising startups through mentoring and guidance programs, bootcamps, incubations and business development activities. It also includes joint innovation initiatives, such as hackathons and innovation challenges in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, augmented and virtual reality, the Internet of Things (IoT), and robotics.

The CEO of Orange Jordan, Eng. Philippe Mansour, emphasized that this partnership with JODDB brings together entrepreneurial, technological, and engineering expertise, reflecting both parties' shared commitment to fostering innovation and supporting startups in line with the Kingdom's economic and social development goals. He added that the partnership reinforces Orange Jordan's role as the Kingdom's true responsible digital leader and its continued investment in the entrepreneurship ecosystem through the Orange Digital Center and its strategic partnerships. By giving startups access to specialized knowledge and resources, the collaboration will help them develop their solutions, scale their operations, and contribute to the growth of Jordan's digital economy.

The Director General of JODDB, Major General (Ret.) Eng. Ayman Ahmad Al-Batran, stated that the agreement aligns with the Bureau’s vision of fostering innovation, developing national capabilities, and expanding cooperation with the private sector to support startups and enable them to transform creative ideas into viable, scalable projects and solutions.

He noted that combining JODDB’s technical and engineering capabilities with Orange Jordan’s digital and entrepreneurial expertise will open new opportunities for entrepreneurs and help leverage emerging technologies to develop innovative products and services that meet market needs. This collaboration will also strengthen the competitiveness of Jordanian companies and enhance their ability to access regional and international markets.

He further emphasized the importance of establishing effective partnerships between national institutions and the private sector to foster an enabling environment for innovation and entrepreneurship, support sustainable economic development, and strengthen Jordan’s position as a regional hub for technology and innovation.

These partnerships span several areas of cooperation, including facilitating connections between promising startups and opportunities for technical collaboration and investment, as well as leveraging JODDB’s technical and engineering expertise and capabilities to assess and test prototypes and support selected innovative projects.
