الوزير السابق الخطيب في جمعية الشؤون الدولية

تعقد جمعية الشؤون الدولية محاضرة نقاشية يوم الثلاثاء في الساعة السادسة مساءً، تحت عنوان "تأثير الانتخابات النصفية الأمريكية على السياسة الداخلية والخارجية"، ويتحدث فيها معالي الدكتور عبد الإله الخطيب، وزير الخارجية الأسبق.

وتهدف المحاضرة إلى تحليل دلالات نتائج الانتخابات النصفية الأمريكية وانعكاساتها على المشهد السياسي الداخلي في الولايات المتحدة، وعلى توجهات السياسة الخارجية الأمريكية في المرحلة المقبلة، بما في ذلك القضايا الدولية والإقليمية ذات الاهتمام المشترك.

وتتناول المحاضرة، بحسب عنوانها، العلاقة بين المتغيرات الداخلية الأمريكية وصناعة القرار الخارجي، ودور الكونغرس في تشكيل السياسات العامة، إضافة إلى أثر ذلك على التحالفات الدولية والملفات الساخنة في المنطقة.

The Society of International Affairs will hold a discussion lecture on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. under the title "The Impact of the U.S. Midterm Elections on Domestic and Foreign Policy,” featuring His Excellency Dr. Abdul Ilah Al-Khatib, former Minister of Foreign Affairs, as the speaker.

The lecture aims to analyze the implications of the U.S. midterm election results for the American domestic political landscape and for the direction of U.S. foreign policy in the coming phase, including international and regional issues of shared interest.

In line with its title, the lecture will examine the relationship between U.S. domestic variables and foreign policymaking, the role of Congress in shaping public policies, and the impact of these dynamics on international alliances and key issues in the region.
